Project Step Forward
The project STEP FORWARD is developed based on the needs of the labour market, adult education institutions, and adult educators to be better prepared for rapid changes in the digital age. In the digital age, embracing digital transformation is a matter of becoming more competitive, and in some cases, even a matter of survival in business and education. The main goal of the project is to offer support to adult educators in using digital technologies in adult education by developing digital pedagogy and providing guidance in form of guidebooks and workshops on how to use digital tools in their teaching.
This project is to help educators to:
- improve their teaching skills in the digital age and adapt their teaching to a different, online mode of learning
- Introduce teachers to current internet trends and ways of implementing them in the classroom
- Provide practical ideas of how teachers can use technology in their current tasks and work plan
- Enhance their motivation for using technology in the classroom
- Create their own online workshops and courses by implementing good andragogical practices and strategies into digital learning
- Increase their competences and confidence in selecting and using ICT tools for didactic and andragogogical purposes
The main outcomes of this project will be the developed Digital Guidebook and Digital Workshops for adult educators which will offer a balance between expertise and theoretical knowledge of the people who work in education with experiences and best practices so that our learners could get concrete and real educational opportunity. Partners working on developing the project’s main outcomes will therefore increase their capacity and readiness to manage an effective shift towards digital education and support adult educators in their local communities. Partners will use their expertise in developing digital pedagogy and the use of digital tools to support adult educators in developing and enhancing their digital skills.
The project aims to implement the following activities aimed at adult educators:
- DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION GUIDEBOOK – a complete, up-to-date guide following the latest trends in digital education
- DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION WORKSHOPS – 5 one-day workshops in all partner countries with at least 12 educators who want to improve their theoretical knowledge and skills in the digital classrooms, and try out different activities using ICT.
- DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ONLINE FESTIVAL OF KNOWLEDGE – organized online in each partner country to present the project and its results and provide expert talk through a 20-minute podcast episode
- MICRO LEARNING CARDS FOR EDUCATORS as a form of crib sheets for educators learning to promote digital transformation in all educational institutions – these cards will be available online and also used for the purposes of promotion (event announcements, workshop announcements in educational institutions).
